Founded in 2010 in Berlin's Kreuzberg district, Five Elephant has become one of Europe's most influential specialty coffee roasters. Created by Kris and Sophie Schackman, the company combines meticulous light roasting with one of Berlin's most celebrated cafés and bakeries, famous for its iconic cheesecake. Every coffee is selected for transparency, traceability and long-term producer relationships, then roasted to highlight sweetness, clarity and origin character rather than roast intensity.
Seasonal microlots from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and other leading origins showcase vibrant acidity, floral aromatics and exceptional balance. Today, Five Elephant continues to define modern German specialty coffee through ethical sourcing, precision roasting and welcoming cafés that attract both locals and coffee professionals from around the world.
