About Cafes Cazengo

Welcome to Cafes Cazengo – Luanda’s First Specialty Coffee Roaster
Where Angola’s heritage meets modern coffee craftsmanship.

Cafes Cazengo isn’t just another coffee shop. We’re a full-cycle micro-roastery born from a simple belief: Angola grows some of the world’s most underrated arabica. Our name pays tribute to the Cazengo region – a historic coffee-growing area that once fueled the country’s economy. Today, we’re reviving that legacy, one small batch at a time.

Walk into our industrial-chic space near Luanda’s Marginal, and you’ll see our Loring S15 roasting live. You’ll smell fresh-cracked beans from farms we visit personally. You’ll taste single-origin lots you won’t find anywhere else in Angola.

We roast light to medium – always respecting the bean’s intrinsic character. No dark roasts to mask flaws. No stale inventory. Just transparent sourcing, education-first service, and a damn good espresso.

Whether you’re a coffee professional or just someone who wants their morning brew to mean something, you’re welcome here. We offer free WiFi, laptop-friendly tables, and a rotating menu of pour-overs, batch brews, and espresso drinks.

Your first cup of Angolan specialty coffee is on us? Just mention “Cazengo Revival” at the counter.

Sourcing Philosophy

Direct trade with smallholder farmers in Angola’s Cazengo highlands. We focus on fully washed and natural processed arabica, paying 25% above Fairtrade minimums. Our philosophy: coffee as a tool for rural development.
